Michigan Democrats plotting next gun control push
Here they come again.
In the wake of another “gun free” zone shooting in Texas, Michigan Democrats are gearing up to exploit yet another tragedy in their quest to gut our Second Amendment rights.
Earlier this week, a committee in the Texas Legislature advanced a bill to ban adults aged 18-20 from purchasing a so-called “assault weapons.”
The bill ultimately died with no further votes, but that doesn’t matter the anti-gun crazies running the Michigan Legislature.
Far Left Democrat State Representative Julie Brixie took to Twitter pushing for the Michigan Legislature to push the same gun control measure here:
In fact, House Bills 4203 and 4204 do just this AND more by prohibiting anyone under the age of 21 from purchasing or possessing any type of firearm.
Twenty-four Democrats have sponsored these bills.
These liberals are okay with 18–20-year-olds joining the Armed Forces and using a firearm there, but want to leave them disarmed at home.
Of course, this comes from the same political ideology that wants 16-year-olds to vote.
You and I know the Democrats are shameless in using tragedies that their policies help create to push more of the same failed gun control measures that leave us defenseless against armed criminals and the mentally deranged.
Ultimately, we must continue to put pressure on the legislature to make it clear to them that their continued assaults on our rights will cost them politically.
Be sure to call your State Representative and your State Senator to urge them to vote NO on any gun control measures.
Make it clear to them that if they vote for gun control, you will vote against them in the next election.

The fact is Democrats have the smallest of majorities in Lansing and currently hold a dozen seats that could be just as easily won by a Republican in the next election.
Some of these Democrat lawmakers won by just hundreds of votes, all while running as moderates.
But now that they’ve all been exposed as anti-gun extremists, you and I have a valuable tool to mobilize countless gun owners in these key districts across the state to hold these Democrats accountable.
Let us not forget also about the five Republican turncoats who voted for the Democrats’ mandatory storage scheme (Minority Leader Matt Hall, Donni Steele, Mark Tisdel, Tom Kuhn and Kathy Schmaltz).
Knowing Minority Leader Hall’s proclivity for selling out gun owners to cut deals with Democrats, we can’t trust him to not pull some sort of shenanigans in the future.
It’s crucial that these Republicans feel the heat now and next year in the primaries.
In the months ahead, Great Lakes Gun Rights will continue fighting against gun control in Lansing, developing a legal strategy to challenge gun control in the courts and hold anti-gun politicians accountable during the elections (whether it be a recall, primary or general election).
Thank you for all you have done these last couple months and I appreciate your continued support of our efforts.
We’re working on some exciting stuff to fight back, so stay tuned.
