Dear Fellow Patriot,

What are they doing?

While Republicans in Ohio and Pennsylvania are advancing Constitutional Carry, Republican leadership in Lansing is stonewalling this popular pro-gun legislation.

Why?

Political insiders are reporting Michigan Republican leaders are terrified of the issue.

Despite the fact that Constitutional Carry is sweeping the nation and is a proven winner at election time, Michigan Republicans are hunkering in their bunker instead of leading as their peers are in (gag!) Ohio and Pennsylvania.

“But Governor Whitmer will veto it!”

That didn’t stop Republicans in Pennsylvania from sending Constitutional Carry to Democrat Governor Tom Wolf’s desk, who has already promised to veto it.

Instead of ignoring gun rights activists, Republicans in those states responded to the calls for Constitutional Carry by taking action.

Send your lawmakers an email to urge them to advance Constitutional Carry by clicking here!

As you know, Constitutional Carry simply restores the rights of law-abiding citizens to carry a handgun, openly or concealed, without having first to obtain a government permission slip.

There are now 21 Constitutional Carry states, with five states passing into law just this year!

Despite the outrage by the Left wing media and the Gun Control Lobby, these states are some of the safest in the union.

Restoring the rights of citizens to be their own self-defense is good policy and good politics.

We’ve succeeded in forcing Michigan Republicans to bring Constitutional Carry up for a vote in the House of Representatives back in 2017.

And with your help, we can do it again.

Click here to send an email to your lawmakers urging them to bring Constitutional Carry up for a vote!

Now, you may ask, what is the value in sending Constitutional Carry to the Governor’s desk when everyone knows she’s going to veto it?

Forcing every politician in Lansing to take a position on Constitutional Carry is a win-win situation.

Either, by some miracle, Constitutional Carry actually becomes law, or gun owners get to hold their politicians accountable based on how they voted.

But without a vote on Constitutional Carry, you and I will never know where our elected officials stand on the issue.

And with a crucial election just around the corner, now is the best time to get every politician in Lansing on the record.

If Republicans in Ohio and Pennsylvania can see the political value in holding votes on Constitutional Carry, surely they can do the same here in Michigan.

But nothing in politics happens unless it is pushed.

And we certainly cannot count on the politicians to do it on their own.

It is going to take countless pro-gun patriots across the state contacting their lawmakers, blowing up their radars, and forcing them to make Constitutional Carry a priority.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and Michigan’s gun control status quo wasn’t built overnight.

And passing Constitutional Carry isn’t just going to magically happen.

Great Lakes Gun Rights came into existence back in 2015 to start this push for Constitutional Carry, and we must keep working it even when a Democrat occupies the Governor’s Mansion.

Forcing votes and exposing those who vote against our gun rights is part of that process each and every year.

We’ve got to set the table for the day that Michigan has a pro-gun Governor and we do that continuing to push for Constitutional Carry now.

So help Constitutional Carry become a reality by emailing your lawmakers today.

After you’ve sent your email, please consider chipping in $30 or even $10 to help us bring more pro-gun Michiganders into the fight.

Thank you for your activism and continued support!
