Benson will bury Constitutional Carry

Michigan will not become a Constitutional Carry state by accident.

It will happen only if gun owners force the issue — and only if Lansing is in a position to pass it.

The future of our gun rights are on the line this November.

Republican gubernatorial candidate John James returned his Great Lakes Gun Rights Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun. He has pledged to support Constitutional Carry, oppose “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation, and repeal Michigan’s Permit to Purchase scheme.

Democrat gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson is the opposite. She has the backing of Giffords, Everytown, and Moms Demand Action. She has called for more “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation. She tried to ban guns at polling places in 2020 until the courts stopped her.

A Benson administration will not sign Constitutional Carry. It will run Whitmer’s Gun Violence Prevention Task Force playbook: “Assault Weapon” Bans, magazine bans, waiting periods, and more gun confiscation.

Here is the hard truth.

Even a pro-gun governor cannot do this alone. Constitutional Carry dies in a hostile House or a hostile Senate. The best chance Michigan gun owners have ever had is a pro-gun trifecta — the governor’s office, the House, and the Senate — willing to put the bill on the desk and sign it.

That is not guaranteed. It has to be demanded.

Great Lakes Gun Rights is circulating a petition calling on the next governor and the next legislature to make Michigan a Constitutional Carry state. If you can legally own a firearm, you should be able to carry it without begging Lansing for a permission slip.

I need your name on that petition, so please click here to sign it today!

Then forward this message to every gun owner you know in Michigan. The more names we put on this petition before Election Day, the harder it is for politicians to duck the issue once the votes are counted.

Petitions do not deliver themselves, and this program does not run on good intentions.

After signing your petition, please make your most generous contribution of $100, $50, or $25 today to help GLGR keep the pressure on through Election Day.
