Tell Lansing: Hold Hearings to Repeal “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation

Michigan’s outrageous “Red Flag” gun confiscation law has got to go.

That’s why pro-gun State Representative Jim DeSana introduced House Bills 4138, 4139, and 4140 earlier this year to fully repeal this unconstitutional law — with 24 Republican legislators already signed on as co-sponsors.

Yet despite this strong show of support, these bills are being blocked from even receiving a hearing in the House Judiciary Committee.

You and I both know that every single Republican voted against “Red Flag” back in 2023. Not one lost their seat. In fact, four Democrats who voted for it lost their elections to pro-gun challengers.

So why are Republican leaders in Lansing still sitting on their hands instead of pushing to repeal this due process-shredding law?

We need to make it clear: the grassroots expect action.

Please take a moment to email Judiciary Chair Rep. Sarah Lightner and Vice Chair Rep. Brian BeGole right away, urging them to hold hearings on the “Red Flag” repeal bills.

This is about building momentum to finally roll back Governor Whitmer’s gun control regime and restore our right to keep and bear arms. If leadership won’t move unless they feel pressure, it’s up to us to apply it.

After you’ve sent your email, I hope you’ll also chip in $30, $15, or whatever you can afford today. Your support will help mobilize even more pro-gun Michiganders to flood Lansing with calls and emails demanding action.

Together, we can keep the pressure on and make sure Lansing knows we won’t rest until “Red Flag” is sent to the ash heap of history.
