The numbers are in — and they should alarm every freedom-loving Michigander.
According to new reporting, Michigan’s so-called “Red Flag” gun confiscation law was used hundreds of times in 2025 alone to seize firearms from citizens across the state.
Let that sink in.
Hundreds of gun owners had their firearms taken by government order — without being convicted of a crime.
And the details are even worse.
Nearly 90 percent of these confiscation orders were issued ex parte — meaning the accused gun owner wasn’t even given the chance to defend themselves before their rights were violated.
Even more telling, only 7.2 percent of these cases led to criminal charges.
That means in the overwhelming majority of cases, firearms were confiscated even though no crime was ever charged.
That’s not due process.
That’s flagrant government abuse.
When anti-gun Democrats forced this law into place in 2023, gun owners warned exactly what would happen: a system where accusations come first and constitutional rights come second.
And for the second year in a row, the data proves that.
Judges are signing off on confiscation orders across the state, allowing police to show up at someone’s home and seize their legally owned firearms based on a claim that they might be dangerous.
No trial.
No conviction.
Often no warning.
There’s even been reports of law enforcement using “Red Flag” orders to disarm the victims of crime! What!
