Constitutional Carry Introduced in the Michigan House!

Michigan Democrats are continuing their assault on our Second Amendment rights.

From banning firearm accessories and so-called “ghost guns” to expanding “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation and creating more deadly “gun free” zones, we find our rights under continuous attack.

Like me, I’m sure you’re tired of constantly being on defense.

But that’s why I’m writing to let you know that Great Lakes Gun Rights isn’t taking these attacks lying down.

In fact, GLGR is going on the OFFENSE by pushing Constitutional Carry legislation in Michigan — in BOTH the Michigan Senate and the Michigan House of Representatives.

Last year, Republican State Senator Lana Theis introduced Constitutional Carry in the Michigan State Senate as Senate Bills 406 through 410 — putting the issue squarely on the table in the upper chamber.

And just today, Constitutional Carry legislation was introduced in the Michigan House of Representatives — opening up a second front in this critical fight to restore our rights.

Introduced as House Bills 5653-5657 by State Representatives Joe Fox, Jim DeSana, Mike Hoadley, Jay DeBoyer and Rachelle Smit, this bill package already has 29 co-sponsors!

Show your support for this critical legislation by signing your Great Lakes Gun Rights Constitutional Carry petition right now!

With legislation now filed in both chambers, momentum is building to finally end Michigan’s unconstitutional concealed carry permit requirement.

You and I both know that carrying a concealed pistol without a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) in Michigan is a victimless crime.

The only “victim” is the state not making a 75% profit from selling you back your rights.

As it stands in Michigan, if you decide to exercise your Second Amendment right to carry without first jumping through bureaucratic hoops and paying government fees, you could be charged with a felony and spend up to FIVE years in jail.

No one should be thrown in jail for practicing a fundamental right.

Especially when no permit is required to openly carry a pistol in Michigan!

Treating open and concealed carry differently under the law is ridiculous — and it must come to an end.

That’s where Constitutional Carry comes in.

Constitutional Carry simply recognizes that if you can legally possess a firearm, you can legally carry that firearm — without begging for government permission.

Just as the Founders intended.

There are currently 29 states that have enacted Constitutional Carry, yet anti-gun politicians in Lansing have ensured Michigan continues to lag behind.

That’s why we need your help to strike back.

Because after all, the best defense is a good offense.

Help us show lawmakers in BOTH the House and Senate that Michigan gun owners demand action by signing your Constitutional Carry petition today.

Times like these can be demoralizing for gun owners — but remember this:

Democrats lost control in Lansing because they trampled all over your rights.

Despite the gun control they rammed through in recent years, it wasn’t that long ago that we were only a couple votes away from making Michigan a Constitutional Carry state.

In fact, as recently as 2017, gun owners like you helped mobilize a historic effort — passing Constitutional Carry through the Michigan House and introducing it in the Senate for the first time in state history.

And there’s no reason we can’t do it again.

Now that the Senate version has already been introduced and the House version has just been filed, we have a renewed opportunity to push this legislation forward.

But the resolve of the anti-gun Left must be met with substantial force.

And our ability to pressure lawmakers to move Constitutional Carry in both chambers is only as strong as your support allows us to be.

So please, sign your Constitutional Carry petition to restore our gun rights and restore the Second Amendment in Michigan.

Of course, this battle won’t be easy — or cheap.

While we may never match what the gun grabbers are spending to dismantle the Second Amendment, I know that with the support of our members we’ll have the resources needed to fight back — and win.

So after you’ve signed your petition, please consider a generous donation of $100 to help us turn up the heat in Lansing.

With inflation still running rampant, I understand $100 may be a stretch for some families.

If so, please consider $50 to help hold anti-gun politicians accountable for placing unconstitutional burdens on law-abiding gun owners.

And if that’s not possible, even $25 will go a long way toward pushing Constitutional Carry forward in the Michigan House and Senate.

Not only that — your donation gives you the peace of mind knowing that when liberty needed help, you were there.

No matter what you can give, please know that we appreciate your generosity and will not tire in the face of adversity.

With your support, we can — and will — FIGHT BACK.
